Brioche Shapka: a playful hat that contrasts a brioche brim with a stockinette stitch body.

Colorwork is achieved by by playing with opposing ends of a gradient yarn (though you can also use two colors!).

The pattern includes a video tutorial to teach you how to work brioche in the round.

Materials
140 (170) yards [128 (155) meters] sport weight yarn

Yarn I Used:
1 skein Cloudborn Merino Alpaca Sport Color Change; (80% superwash merino, 20% baby alpaca; 274 yd [250 m]/ 3.5 oz/100 g); Puget Sound

One US Size 5 [3.75 mm] 16” circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
One set US Size 5 [3.75 mm] double-pointed needles or other needles for the crown decrease, or size needed to obtain gauge
One US Size 3 [3.25 mm] 16” circular needle, or two sizes smaller than needed to obtain gauge
Stitch marker
Tapestry needle
Pom-pom maker (optional)
