These cozy socks have an adjustable leg height, a feather stitch cuff peeking out of the top of your boots, and a video tutorial to walk you through every step of this new technique.

I found the yarn for Farola at a gas station in the Faroe Islands. Yes, really, gas stations sell yarn in Faroe! Navia Sock is a blend of Faroese, Shetland, and Australian lambswool with a bit of nylon for durability—perfect for keeping even the chilliest toes warm.

MATERIALS
262 yards [240 meters] DK weight yarn
Yarn I Used:
Navia, Sock; (24% Faroese Wool, 23% Shetland Wool, 23% Australian Lambswool; 30% nylon); 131 yards [120 meters]/ 1.8 ounces [50 grams]; col. 520
1 set US Size 2.5 [3 mm] double-pointed needles OR long circular needle, or size needed to obtain gauge
10 inches [25 cm] 1.5mm stitch saver (for heel)
Tapestry needle, removable stitch markers
Optional: 3mm (or smaller) crochet hook for working Feather Stitch

FINISHED MEASUREMENTS
Choose a size about 1 inch [2.5 cm] smaller around than your foot– sock should stretch to fit.
Sizes 1 (2, 3, 4)
Finished foot circumference: 6.5 (7.25, 8, 8.75) inches [16.5 (18.5, 20.5, 22) cm]

TO FIT:
7.5 (8.25, 9, 9.75) inches [19 (21, 23, 25) cm] (To determine foot circumference, measure around the ball of the foot.)
Cuff length: Adjustable.
Foot length: Adjustable to fit.
The pattern is written for multiple sizes.
Instructions are given for size 1, with larger sizes in parentheses.
