Knit Ithaca will be based at the Marriott, right in the heart of downtown. That means we’ll be within walking distance to a plethora of amazing restaurants, shopping, coffee shops, used book stores, craft galleries, and bars. Our Knitting Headquarters (KHQ) will be the big meetings rooms on the 2nd floor of the Marriott that overlook downtown. These rooms will be open from 7am-11pm everyday just for us to knit and hang out together!

The retreat starts on Thursday Nov 4th at 3pm with check-in and then a local food spread, it ends Sunday morning at 11am (checkout time). Those staying for Spa Sunday will check out Monday at 11am.

What's Included in the Retreat?

• Natural Dyeing Workshop with Sarah Gotowka of Luna Fiber Studio
• Evening Jewelry Making workshop with Elaan Greenfield of The Metalsmithery
• Trumansburg Tour with Laura to her favorite waterfall
• Bus to Ithaca Farmer's Market on Saturday for lunch/local shopping extravaganza
• Three Epic Knit Nights (note: there will not be a public knit night, these are only for retreat attendees)
• Accommodations (optional)- 3 nights at the Downtown Ithaca Marriott, a lovely and modern hotel right in the heart of the city
• Food and Meals- Local Food Welcome Spread, 3 FULL Breakfasts, 2 Dinners, and a cider tasting

Thursday Nov 4th-
3 - 5pm- Check In and Eat Your Veggies Time (Gorges Ballroom)
4pm- Room Check-In (may be available earlier, ask at the front desk when you arrive)
5pm- Welcome and UN-Bagging!
6:45 - 8pm- Dinner (Gorges Ballroom)
8 - 9pm- Ann Weaver Presents The Story of Plied
9 - 11pm- Knit Night #1

Friday Nov 5th-
7:00 - 8:30am- Breakfast (Gorges Ballroom)
8:50 - Shetlands meet Laura in Lobby (return around 12:30)
9 - 12am- First Session (Merino with Ann, Finn with Sarah)
1:45 - Finns meet Laura in Lobby (return around 5:20)
2 - 5pm- Second Session (Shetland with Ann, Merino with Sarah)
5pm - 7:30- Free Time/Dinner on your own in Ithaca (PLEASE make reservations ahead of time... restaurants fill up!)
5 - 6pm- Social Hour at Monk’s (Drink and Snack Deals!)
7:30 - 11:00pm- Metalsmithery Workshop and Knit Night #2

Saturday Nov 6th-
7:00- 8:30am- Breakfast (Gorges Ballroom)
8:40 - Merinos meet Laura in Lobby (dropped at Farmer’s Market around 12:05)
9 - 12am- Third Session (Finn with Ann, Shetland with Sarah)
12:15 pm- Bus to Farmers Market (Finn and Shetland)
(we will keep the bus running between the Farmer’s Market and the Marriott)
2:30 pm- Last Bus back from Farmer’s Market
4pm onwards- POP UP SHOP
5 - 6pm- Cider Tasting with Redbyrd Cider
6:45 - 8pm- Dinner
8:00 - 11pm- Fashion Show and Knit Night #3

Sunday Nov 7th-
8:30 - 10am- Goodbye Breakfast Spread
11am- Checkout for Most
11am- Bus Leaves for Spa Sunday
7pm- Bus Returns (We will be back around 7pm, make reservations for dinner that night if desired!)

Monday Nov 8th-
11am- Checkout for Spa Sunday Knitters

Getting To/From- Ithaca is easy to get to, you can fly in and easily take an uber, lyft or taxi, you can take a bus, or drive! Hotel has valet parking available and off-site parking for guests. Guests will be shuttled from the off-site parking.
