The first sweater I ever designed, this tunic builds upon your knitting skills and creates a flattering feminine shape. The hems of the body and sleeves have a delicate lace edging, and the sleeves are bell shaped. The waist shaping accentuates your curves, while short row shaping at the bust creates detailing. Yarnover edging at the neckline allows the neckline to be drawn in with a ribbon.
Materials
Schaefer Yarn Nancy (95% merino wool, 5% nylon; 8 oz [227 g] / 600 yds [549 m]), 2 (3, 3) skeins, or other light worsted weight yarn
US size 7 [4.5 mm] ndls or size needed to obtain gauge
Tapestry ndl
60” length of ¼” velvet or other ribbon (optional)
Gauge
21 sts / 30 rows = 4" in st st
Sizes
Small (34”), Medium (38”), and Large (42”)
