Introducing Rocks and Water designed for my retreat to the Aran Islands off the west coast of Ireland and inspired by their magical, breathtaking beauty.
A limited number of kits are available in the shop!
This cowl alternates between two distinct sections, Rocks (corrugated Ribbing) and Water. The water section offers three different options—calm, choppy, or rough seas. Calm Seas is simple stockinette stitch, perfect for beginning knitters, Choppy Seas adds a bit of texture and breathability with Irish Mesh Lace, and Rough Seas utilizes Lola’s Two-Timing Technique for a double-layered option. Mix and match water sections to suit your mood—alternate sea levels, keep them uniform, or go wherever the waves take you!
This pattern can be knit in two sizes. The narrow version can be slipped over your head, and the wider wrapped twice around your neck. Rocks and Water is knit in Kelbourne Woolens Cricket, a single-ply authentic Donegal tweed yarn that knits up as light as air. A main color is paired with four contrasting colors to create a stunning gradient progression.
