Latus is a garter stitch short row scarflette with beads outlining each section of the scarf.  The short row sections are built one triangle at a time and stack one on top of the other.  Once the first half is finished, it is set aside while the second half is worked with a revised buttonhole, then the two halves are grafted together.

145 yards of fingering or sport weight yarn
Yarn Used:
Madeline Tosh, Sock; col. Alizarin
         
US Size 5 [3.75 mm] needles or size needed to obtain gauge
487 Size 6 glass seed beads [approx. 40 grams]

Tapestry Needle

Gauge
Approx. 20 sts x 40 rows= 4 inches in garter stitch, blocked
[Note: Getting gauge on Latus is not overly important!]

Approx. 5 inches wide x 27 inches long
